NOW HIRING: Logistics Manager

Position Overview:


Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the logistics and supply chain processes, ensuring the timely and compliant import of goods into the country. This role requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, regulatory bodies, clearing agents, suppliers, and international offices, to ensure the efficient and compliant handling of all shipments via sea and air. The role also involves financial oversight, document management, and regulatory compliance for logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Opening of Form M:
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of Form M applications for imports, adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards.


2. Coordinating with Banks for PAAR Documentation:
• Liaise with banks to facilitate the processing of Pre-Arrival Assessment Reports (PAAR).

3. Liaison between Clearing Agents and Management:
• Serve as the main point of contact between the clearing agents and the management team to ensure seamless coordination for all


4. Coordination with International Offices:
• Communicate with international offices to obtain all necessary transactional documents.


5. Exchange Control Documentation Compliance:
• Ensure all exchange control documents related to imports are correctly submitted to the relevant authorities and banks in a timely manner.
• Track the status of exchange control documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


6. Internal Control on Invoices Raised by Clearing Agents:
• Implement and manage internal controls on all invoices raised by clearing agents.
• Verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring they are in line with the agreed terms and applicable regulations before approval for payment.

Qualifications:


	•	Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

	•	Proven experience in logistics management, with a strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs processes.

	•	Familiarity with Nigerian import processes, including Form M, PAAR, SONCAP, and exchange control documentation.

	•	Strong coordination and communication skills to effectively liaise with banks, suppliers, clearing agents, and internal teams.

	•	Proficiency in using online platforms for SONCAP, PAAR, and Form M applications.

	•	Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

	•	Ability to manage multiple shipments and documentation processes simultaneously.

Key Skills:

	•	Strong understanding of customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements.

	•	Proficient in logistics software and online platforms for documentation processing.

	•	Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

	•	Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for verifying invoices and documentation.

	•	Financial acumen for managing logistics costs and payments.

	•	3 to 5 years of experience in logistics management or a similar role.
